Dear journal,

What a pathetic first entry on this Live Journal thing. Today did not go very well. I procrastinated in refilling my prescription to Paxil. I called Dr. Brown's office to ask her if she could refill my prescription before the weekend. Her nurse called me back and said that it was done and that I could go and pick it up at the Vacaville pharmacy. When I got there I waited for 40 minutes only to be told that Dr. Brown cancelled my prescription. They said that she cancelled it recently and that I could not get my prescription now because I didn't have authorization from a physician. I was stunned. I had just got done talking to Dr. Brown's assistant on the phone. I had also called the Vacaville pharmacy before I left and they said my prescription was now processing. Now they're telling me that Dr. Brown cancelled my prescription out of the blue in between the time I left and arrived at the pharmacy? What?? They took my phone number and said they would call me once they figure out what happened. I said thanks and left.
My mom and I went to BJ's and ate dinner. When I got back I checked the messages and they hadn't called me yet. I called the Kaiser pharmacy and asked what was up. They told me that it was a mistake on their part. My prescription was ready. They just made a mistake. They said that they were reading where Dr. Brown cancelled my prescriptions for the 10 mg tablets and 30 mg tablets of Paxil. She didn't cancel my prescription for the 40 mg tablets which I am currently taking. What a relief! They said that my pills would be ready to be picked up in half an hour. I just came back from getting them.
On a side note I found out that Maren Felt is a pharmacist at Kaiser in Vacaville. I went to school with her. I was in her line to pick up my prescription. I was debating whether or not I should say, "How you doin,' Maren? I came to pick up a prescription," but another girl called me over to her while Maren was taking care of the person in front of me. Oh well. I kind of had a crush on Maren in High School and I was nervous about speaking to her anyway. I guess that's all. God bless.
